Overview
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM
This summer camp combines sports and German language courses in the beautiful location of Harz area, a national park.
All our sport camps are developed and organised by a professional team from our sports branch: SPORTS ELITE JEUNES.
Students have German courses on morning and sports / activities in the afternoon.
MISCELLANEOUS
For each of these sport camps, the sport practices are lead by qualified monitors (who guide the “campers” all day and night long).
The participants and the monitors are mainly French but they also speak German.
ACCOMMODATION
Students live mostly in quadruple rooms. Each room has its own bathroom with shower. The maximum capacity is 120 students. Students will be hosted in full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
The youth hostel has its own gymnasium, a swimming-pool, barbecue, a disco, a public phone, and other facilities. It also offers different class rooms.
GERMAN COURSES
Students take advantage of their stay in Germany to improve their German knowledge during the German lessons on mornings, and to practice different sports on afternoons.
German lessons are given by teachers specialized in teaching German as a foreign language. Students attend 15 hours per week (3 hours daily from Monday to Friday) in small groups from 10 to 12 students. The groups are set according to the German level (test on arrival) and the age of the participants. Our qualified teachers are German.
ACTIVITIES
Students will practice sports each afternoon and will be monitored by qualified instructors: badminton, basketball, baseball, orientation, football, handball, table tennis, ultimate, volleyball, mini-golf. Social activities are offered most evenings.
LOCATION
Our German Summer Camp is located in St Andreasberg, in Harz area. Sankt Andreasberg is a city of 2015 inhabitants, located in the natural park of Harz. The city is located 116 km in the south of Hannover, in central Germany. The location of the city is ideal for all nature’s lover, and the pureness of the air will be highly appreciated by young sportsmen.
There is a synthetic soccer playground, indoor swimming-pool, fitness trail, large classrooms, and a tasty, homelike cooking.

ELIGIBILITY
-Participants must be between 12 and 17 years old.
-A minimum of 2 years of German language study
The students must show that they are mature enough to participate in a multinational programme, to share everyday life, and that they really like to discover and practise any sports.
All our camps are non-smoking.
