Overview
 This Mandarin language immersion program takes place in Canton, or Guangzhou, an important port city near Hong Kong. The metropolis presents all the advantages of a modern city (subway, campuses, etc) and is home to many magnificent parks. Life in Canton is less expensive than Beijing or Shanghai, but the city still hosts plenty of shopping and public transportation.
The university offers international students intensive Mandarin courses ranging from one semester to one year in length. Students also have the possibility to follow academic courses or take an exam in Mandarin. The university attracts some of the best Chinese students who come from across the country, so the environment promotes contact with the Chinese students and permits international students to meet friends and create networks that can last a lifetime.
The school offers a variety of cultural and athletic activities both on and off campus. Students have every possibility to discover the region, practice sports or simply get to know Chinese students, all without any additional costs.
Accommodation is provided by the school in private or shared rooms with shower, toilet, air conditioning, and Internet/telephone.
Bedding is provided. A refrigerator and washing machine are available, as is a lounge with TV and a fitness room. Access to the building is controlled and there is parking for bicycles.
Additionally, the campus provides pools, basketball, tennis, badminton and volleyball courts, ping pong tables and running tracks. Meals are not included, but the university restaurant offers meals as low as 1 €.

Possibility of early departure (end of June or end of December) if obtaining the diploma or certificate is not a priority.
Academic Year 2009-2010 :
Arrival at the end of August, departure between the end of the month of June and the beginning of July. Accommodation on campus is provided between the semesters.
