Overview
Our goal is to offer excellent Arabic language courses and equip our students with language skills and a cultural understanding, that will allow them to work and interact smoothly and effectively in an Arab society.
The U-Can Arabic Language Institute is an independent business established 3 years ago. We have taught over 3,000 students from more than 20 different countries. We have taught individuals from the Korean International Co-Operation Agency, British Petroleum (BP) and other international businesses and schools as well as given lessons to American Embassy employees.
U-Can's books and resources are designed in house to give students relevant grammar and phrases they can use right away. As students progress in their language, the lesson books, phrases and grammar help to develop a well rounded ability to converse with Arab speakers in a flexible and comfortable manner.
We offer 12 levels of Amiyya/Egyptian Colloquial Arabic (ECA) courses, which are categorized according to the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) descriptions.

Eligibility
A placement test will be given if you have any prior Arabic language training, so that we may best asses what level course to place you in.

We are currently in the process of creating a system to provide housing for students. Please let us know if this is a need and we can work something out in the interim.

Fees:
The price structure we offer is based upon the size of class in which you are participating and is currently as follows:
Private lessons (at school) - 60 L.E./hour
Private lessons (not at school) - 70 L.E./hour
Group class (at school) - 30 L.E./hour
(3 or more students)
Group class (not at school) - 40 L.E./hour

Costs
Include: The costs include basic language and grammar. Courses can be specially deigned to incorporate cultural learning and conversation. We can set a schedule to accommodate your availability if you are looking for something specific to study.
Dates
Our Arabic language classes are specially designed depending on the student and their needs. Students may take a short intensive course, get private tutoring, incorporate cultural learning or work only on speaking. Our classes are approximately 6-7 weeks long. Class terms may be longer or shorter depending on holidays.
