This cultural encounter is achieved through the elaboration of specifically designed programs that respond to the special needs of individuals, universities and other interested institutions. Centro Tinku is located in the heart of the Andean city of Cusco at 3,450m (11, 300 ft) above sea level. Cusco, once the capital of the Inca empire, later lived under Spanish colonial rule for 300 years. Its streets and buildings betray this dual heritage.
