Overview
Founded in 1953, the Junior Year in Munich is America's oldest study abroad program in Germany, and is officially affiliated with the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) of Munich. Students are enrolled at the LMU, live in German student housing, and have the full LMU curriculum available to them, as well as elective JYM courses. JYM scholarships (ca. $40,000 annually) and internships and are available.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
JYM participants receive an official transcript from Wayne State University, Detroit MI, for all coursework completed in Munich under the auspices of the JYM program.
Eligibility
Students from accredited US or Canadian schools only; two years of college level German (or the equivalent) with "B" average; overall GPA of "B"; junior ranking by the time of departure
