Overview
Since 1950, IES has been building quality study abroad programs and introducing U.S. students to new places, studies, and ways of thinking. A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in over 30 programs throughout the world.
IES BUENOS AIRES offers two distinct programs. The Beginning/Intermediate Spanish program is designed for students with less than two years of college-level Spanish language study, while the Advanced Spanish program is designed for students with three years of college-level Spanish language study. Area studies courses in the Beginning/Intermediate Spanish program are taught in English; those in the Advanced program are taught in Spanish. Boasting several premier universities and a lively student population, Buenos Aires is renowned for its museums, theatres, restaurants, high fashion, polo events, and soccer matches that inspire passionate inter-city rivalries.
