Overview
The CIEE fees for 2008-09 include tuition, housing, two meals daily, optional on-site airport meet and greet, full-time leadership and support, orientation, cultural activities (such as museum visits, theater, and dance performances), local excursions (group meals, Brazilian music performances, visit to the Japanese neighborhood of Liberdade, Avenida Paulista, and Parque do Ibirapuera), field trips (such as to Rio de Janeiro, the colonial city of Parati, the Landless movement headquarters, Aparecida do Norte, soccer games, and samba schools), immersion activities, comprehensive student handbook, pre-departure advising, in-country documents, and a CIEE iNext travel card which provides insurance and other travel benefits.

Eligibility
- Overall GPA 2.75
- 4 semesters of college-level Spanish and/or 2 semesters of college-level Portuguese or equivalent
