Overview
Namibia summer volunteers are integral to the implementation of Information and Communication Technology in Namibian primary and secondary schools. Volunteers will lead computer trainings for a group of teachers at their site placements and work closely with one or two Namibian teachers to integrate computers into their classrooms. Volunteers may also choose to teach HIV/AIDS awareness classes or any other subject based on the needs of the school. The eight-week long program runs from early-June through August. WorldTeach provides training and orientation. Program fee includes international roundtrip airfare, health insurance, and meals and accommodations while in country.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and fluent English speakers.

WorldTeach summer programs may qualify for international internship and travel funds awarded by colleges, universities, and other educational institutions. Applicants are encouraged to check with their schools or other educational institutions for eligibility.
