Overview
Students study Spanish and Dance in the colonial Mexican town of San Miguel de Allende. Coed, one-month program, limited to 20 students. Individualized instruction. Students live together in group housing. Dance instruction excells in jazz, hip hop, modern, and ballet with electives in salsa, latin dance, and folkloric dance. In addition to dancing 5 hours daily, students study Spanish 2 hours a day, and teach a dance class to Mexican children, giving our students a great opportunity to volunteer and use their Spanish speaking skills. During the weekends, trips are scheduled to neighboring towns, hotsprings, horsebackriding, but time is also set aside for some free time and time to recover from the week's busy schedule. This is an all-inclusive, camp-like program that is highly supervised and structured. A great introduction to study abroad, studying Spanish through dance.
