Overview
The STUDIENFORUM BERLIN's academic Internship-in-Berlin Program is an eight to twelve week experience in a private or public company or institution located in Berlin aimed at enhancing a student's knowledge and proficiency of the German culture and business environment.

Since STUDIENFORUM BERLIN is an academic non-profit institution all internships are not paid.

STUDIENFORUM BERLIN's Internship Program requires some proficiency in the German language, both spoken and written. Preference is given to applicants who have taken at least one year of conversational German. There is an option to start the internship with an intensive German language class.

STUDIENFORUM BERLIN also manages the summer internship program of the University of Richmond.

Eligibility
The STUDIENFORUM BERLIN's Internship Program is open to undergraduate and graduate students in all fields of study. Students must be at least sophomores at the time of their internship and have a grade point average of 3.0 (B) or better.

Dates
The program is open throughout the year. The application deadline is three months prior to the start of the internship. Students in fall/winter/spring/summer internships usually work four days a week at their institution or company (32h/week). The fifth day/week is reserved for study work. STUDIENFORUM BERLIN provides a native German speaker as on-site administrator who supervises the internship progress and work assignments. In addition to the requirements the home institution may have, students have to submit a 10-pages final internship report which includes an assessment of the internship organization and the student's activity experience in that institution. Grading will be based on an evaluation written by the internship supervisor. If required, STUDIENFORUM BERLIN cooperates with the student's home institution with regard to the credits. The home institution will then determine the total number of credit hours.

Deadlines
The application deadline is three months prior to the start of the internship.
