Overview
Brockport offers a unique language immersion and internship program in and around San Jose, Costa Rica for the summer, fall, or spring semesters. The Spanish instruction is held at La Escuela de Idiomas in Desemparados and Internship sites are in San Jose. Students on the program can choose between a full semester of Spanish language classes, a full internship, or a combination of both. Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
15 undergraduate credits
Eligibility
Two years of college Spanish or the equivalent;
GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale; and
Must be able to demonstrate purposefulness and maturity via a study statement and references.

Participants live with local families who provide a private room, meals and laundry service.

Dates
There are two fifteen-week semesters in Brockport's Costa Rica Program. In the fall this is from late August until early December; in the spring the program runs from early January until late April.
