The program includes four weeks of intensive study of Spanish and one week of travel, research, or volunteer work in local businesses, organizations, or schools. Volunteer work may be arranged for two or three hours a day concurrently with the intensive Spanish program. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Participants in the Brockport/Costa Rica Program will earn six (6) credits normally in the summer, but additional credits can be earned with lenght of stay. Grades for work done in Costa Rica are reported on student's transcripts as equivalent to specific Spanish language courses at Brockport. Participants in the Brockport/Costa Rica Summer Program can earn 3, 6, 9, 12, or 15 credits depending on their length of stay.
