Overview
The summer program in Lord Novgorod the Great, Russia, will last for five weeks, during which students can earn six credits. All students will earn a minimum of three credits in language. For their other three credits, they choose either additional language credits, or culture & history credits, or internship credits. Additional internship credits can be earned by coming before or staying after the main program ends: three credits for three weeks, six credits for five weeks.The program site is Novgorod State University, located in Rochester's sister city of Novgorod, The Great, Russia. Having been founded in A.D. 859, Novgorod is one of the most ancient of Russian cities. It is located approximately 130 miles southeast of St. Petersburg, on the way to Moscow. In the summer, you will be able to enjoy mild climate and the pleasure of "white Russian nights."
