Overview
The Angel Academy, Florence, teaches drawing and painting in an old master, atelier tradition. Although its roots go back as early as 14th century Italy, the curriculum and teaching techniques are grounded on those of 19th century European academies and are the result of over 30 years of research and experimentation by the school's founder, Michael John Angel. The thorough, step-by-step process involved will completely prepare a student for a successful career as a representational painter. This is one of the goals of the academy and the business of being a professional painter is considered an important element throughout the course of study. Special Summer Workshops are held annually. There are no age or experience limitations placed on applicants.
