Overview
So that the expense of living in Spain (estimated conservatively to be $10,000/year) does not hold you back, this program places female au pairs and English teachers with Spanish families in exchange for room, board and a small stipend for your personal expenses.
You will work from 2 to 5 hours a day and when you are not with your family you will attend Spanish language classes right in the heart of Madrid at our up-market, fully-equipped, specialized language school. There you will practice Spanish for 2 weeks included in the program, accompanied by other young people from all over the world. Many opportunities are given to participate in organized activities for cultural interchange.
The program starts every Monday throughout the year and is open to you regardless of your Spanish language level. You must like children, be between 18 and 26 years of age and be able to commit for a minimum of 3 months (1 or 2 months applications are accepted in the summer).
Eligibility
Must be 18 years of age, female, a native speaker of English, free to commit for a minimum of 3 months (except in summer) and like children.
Dates
Starts every Monday.
Deadlines
Normally needs 2 months to process the application. Please inquire about rush applications.
