Overview
Our expedition explores and studies Nepal from its spectaular southern sub-tropical jungles in the Terai to its northern high Himalayan Peaks. Nepal is one of the world's greatest centers of montane and cultural diversity. The high Himalaya is the highest mountain range on Earth and simply one of the most spectacular places. In a country the size of Tennessee, a remarkable friendly and diverse community, makes it's home in exceptionally mountainous terrane. How these remarkable cultures see their own environmental opportunties and challenges is the focus of our learning. Our 42 day course spends a week in each of five remarkable areas allowing a thorough exploration of distinct globally threatened montane ecosystems and their human communities.
