Overview
Overseas students have been attending The Hebrew University of Jerusalem since its earliest days. Special programs for students from abroad have been conducted since 1955. Since then, the programs for overseas students have been steadily expanded and the number of courses offered greatly increased.
Courses are designed to highlight the rich history, fascinating present and promising future of the Region, ranging from Bible to Modern Hebrew literature, from ancient Jewish history to modern Arab nationalism.
Classes combine academic challenge with opportunities to live and breathe the subject matter, with visits to archaeological sites and interaction with Israeli society. The language of instruction is English, and no previous knowledge of Hebrew is necessary.
The diverse academic offerings are complemented by a variety of stimulating extracurricular activities, seminars and trips. Students are entitled to use the various University facilities. The University's indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and physical fitness club may be used for a moderate fee.
From the windows of the classrooms and dormitories of the Hebrew University, the incredible panorama of Jerusalem unfolds. We invite you to study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
