Overview
This intensive two-year M.A. program in English is designed for students from abroad who want to study Jewish education on the graduate level. The course of study, which focuses both on theory and practice, enables students to explore new approaches to Jewish education and culture and to develop skills and resources both in Jewish education and Jewish studies. Courses include a wide range of topics in the field of Jewish education, including the Social Sciences and Jewish Identity, the Philosophy of Jewish Education, Jewish History and Classical Literature, Contemporary Jewry, Curriculum and Instruction in Jewish Education, and Gender Studies. The program seeks to attract committed young graduate students as well as experienced teachers, school principals, informal educators and educational administrators.
This program is offered in conjunction with the School of Education and the Melton Centre for Jewish Education of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
