Overview
Our academic program explores and studies Peru from its spectaular Andean Mountains to its eastern Amazonian Rain Forests. Peru is one of the world's greatest centers of montane, forest and cultural diversity. The high Andes is the second highest mountain range on Earth, the highest tropical mountains on earth and simply one of the most spectacular places. These mountains drop eastward through a zone of cloud forests before joining the vast Amazonian rain forest interior. Our 42 day course spends two weeks in each of three remarkable areas allowing a thorough introductory exploration of distinct threatened ecosystems of global significance and their human communities.
