Overview
City University adopted its name to reflect its location on the edge of London's financial district. City University is a unique combination of professional and arts education, situated in an area that allows for professional development and personal fulfillment. Students enroll directly into regular university classes at City University. Prior to departure, participants select three or four courses from the modules available to study abroad students at City University. There is no restriction on the number of subject areas from which these courses may be selected, but students must have the appropriate preparation for the courses selected. All instruction is by City University faculty.

Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.  Participants in the Brockport/City University Program will normally earn three credit hours for each course successfully completed at City University (with the exception of the Extension courses). Therefore, it is typical for participants to accumulate 12 credits in the fall, and 15-16 in the lengthier spring semester.

Eligibility
A prospective participant should have: Junior or Senior standing by the start of the program. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). A GPA of 3.25 in an appropriate major. The demonstrated ability to do upper-division work in the subjects chosen.

Housing/Accommodation
Dormitory

Participants in Brockport's City University program will be placed in one of City University's four halls of residence by submitting a housing preference form in a timely manner. The University's halls of residence are located within six minutes' walk from the Islington campus. All dormitories are comprised of furnished single study bedrooms grouped in suites around a shared bathroom. All of the on-campus housing at City University is in self-catered facilities. Maintaining City's professional heritage, all halls are outfitted with either computer facilities or data points in room. In all situations, housing is scheduled only for the duration of the study term and those students wishing to travel before or after need to make supplementary arrangements.
