Overview
The University of Canberra is three hours from Sydney and two hours from scenic beaches and snowfields. It is a location ideal for exploring Australia. The University of Canberra is close to the central business district and next to the Australian Institute of Sport, a campus of the Canberra Institure of Technology, a major hospital and several government agencies. Participants will have the opportunity to enroll in regular university classes at the University of Canberra. Prior to departure, participants select three courses from those available to study abroad students at University of Canberra. All instruction is by University of Canberra faculty. Typically, fall semester runs from mid-July through November and spring from mid-February through June. Fields of study include liberal arts, and social sciences.

Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.  Participants in the Brockport/University of Canberra Program will normally earn four or five credit hours for each course successfully completed at University of Canberra, for a maximum of fifteen credits per semester.

A Student Housing Office will assist participants in Brockport's Program at University of Canberra in finding on-campus accommodation. Students generally have their own bed and sitting rooms, but share sanitary and kitchen facilities with others. If on-campus housing is not available and The University of Canberra is unable to provide participants with university-owned housing, participants will be reimbursed for an amount equal to the average cost of non-catered university-owned housing at The University of Canberra for the period during which the participants are enrolled in the program.
