Overview
Southern Cross University is located at Australia's best address, the north coast of New South Wales, 45 minutes from Byron Bay and 90 minutes by car south of the Gold Coast. This region is full of rainforests and unspoiled beaches, while the campus is home to a wide range of Australian wildlife. Participants have the opportunity to enroll in regular university classes at the Southern Cross University. Prior to departure, students select three or four courses in liberal arts areas from those available to study abroad students at SCU. All instruction is by Southern Cross University faculty. Participants are examined in the same manner and held to the same standards as their Australian classmates.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
Study abroad students usually take 4 courses as a full load while attending the University of Southern Cross. The actual work load can vary from unit to unit and from course to course. Lectures are the basis of teaching in most classes.
