The Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts offers a wide variety of performance and studio courses in each of its Schoolss - the School of Art, the School of Dance, and the School of Drama. In addition to courses in these performing arts areas, the College offers a range of upper-division courses in Carribean studies and culture. Prior to departure, participants select an individual program of study from the courses listed. Instruction is by the Edna Manley College faculty and participants are examined in the same manner and are held to the same standards as their Jamaican counterparts.
Academic credit is available.
As a rule, participants will enroll in a 15-credit second year program pin the appropriate school.
A prospective participant should have:
Junior or Senior standing by the start of the program.
A cumulative GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale).
A GPA of 3.00 in an appropriate major.
The demonstrated ability to do upper-division work in the subjects chosen.
