Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
Credit is awarded by your school based on approval of our program. Many schools list us as approved, and we can work with your school to add us if needed.
Eligibility
Open to all, no eligibility requirements.
Housing/Accommodation
•
Homestay / Host Family
The vast majority of students opt for the homestay, as it is normally included and we feel it is an integral part of the immersion program. But for those who wish to make other arrangements, we can make housing suggestions and subtract the cost of the homestay from the tuition.
Program Costs
US $150/week
Costs
Include: 25 hours of private instruction; homestay with all meals provided every day; afternoon and weekend school activies including trips to villages and markets, speakers and discussions; cultural and arts activities; speakers and guests; discussion of the social and political realities of Guatemala; dance classes; and more. Personal costs for optional activities, like bus fare to reach a village, is extra but minimal.
Dates
Since all instruction is one-on-one, you may start on any Monday of the year and study for any number of weeks.
If you are receiving academic credit through your university, your university credit will apply to a specific term but your attendance dates at the Spanish school are flexible unless your university has specific requirements.
Deadlines
There is no specific deadline for registration but it is recommended that you register early to make sure that there is space available on the dates you want.
