Overview
As a volunteer in Costa Rica, you will gain insight into environment problems facing the country and help contribute to their soluntions, while at the same time gaining valuable educational and professional experience. These volunteer programs are in turn enhanced by the abilities, engery and goodwill that volunteers like you bring to each project.
Our unique program in Costa Rica enables you to combine Spanish language study with volunteer work. The program allows you to take one month of language classes before you start your volunteer placement (not a requirement). After your language courses, you can volunteer for 2 weeks to 11 months in various National Parks participating in projects involved in conservation, maitenance, visitor information, protection, research, etc. We find a customized placement for you based upon your background and interests.
Eligibility
Minimum age is 18. Prospective volunteers should be flexible, physically fit and wiling to immerse themselves in another culture. Must be able to get a tourist visa.
