Overview
The Marbella Design Academy - Costa del Sol sl. was founded in 1995 and has developed ever since to the modern and top level Design Academy.
New beautiful building with all thinkable facilities. The building has been approved by The Ministry of Education and it complies with all the demands for a new and modern design Academy.
Most students choose to live in Monda near the Academy, only 2 to 5 min walk away. There are plenty of furnished accommodations to chose among and in all price levels. The Academy helps the students finding
Accommodation. Price example: 3 room house 600 per month. Students often share accommodation.
The Marbella Design Academy offers Tuition at University Level updated to the latest marked demands for a professional design education. You will for example, already in the first year of study be introduced to the professional computer programs there are so important for the students to know, for them to become among the best designers World Wide. The students graduated from the Academy have an employment rate near 100%. This because they graduates as professional Designers at top level, in among other skill, the latest computer programs, such as Auto-Cad,3D Studio Max, Director, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Quark, Flash and Dream weaver.(The computer programs taught depend on the students chosen course). The Marbella Design Academy has an Academic level that competes with the best design schools in the World. Judge for yourself. The academy follows the State recognized programs from the Ministry of Education in Spain, which have been approved the 21st of April 2003. The Marbella Design Academy has obtained the permission for State Recognition the 21st of April 2003. All classes are held in English.
Classes are held in smaller groups and with a lot of teacher attention to each individual student in a one to one tuition. This is so important for a good academic result. Students come from all over the World to study at the Marbella Design Academy.
Location: Camino Hoyanca, 29110 Monda. - 200m, 3min walk, from the centre of the village of Monda, which is a charming, typically Spanish village only 15 km from Marbella. Monda has many cosy squares, restaurants and bars. The town is surrounded by the beautiful Spanish countryside, where the students have many leisure possibilities, such as horse riding, hiking, motor cross, football, basketball, flamingo dance and Spanish guitar classes, just to mention a few activities Monda offers. In the nearby cosmopolitan Marbella you will find even more leisure activities, which big towns normally offers. There are frequent busses to and from the centre of Marbella to Monda. Marbella is very well known for its jet-set, nightlife and beautiful beaches.
Spanish for beginners. The Academy offer beginner classes in Spanish, two afternoons a week.

Application for the courses: The minimum age for application is 17 years. Average age is around 23 year.
To enter the Academy require a high school diploma or a similar qualification.
In special cases, if a student has a special artistic talent, the academy can make an exception from this rule.

Quick Facts about South of Spain Marbella - Monda
Compared to most European cities Marbella and Monda are relatively inexpensive. Your money last longer in South Spain. As well South Spain has the best weather in Europe with more than 330 warm and sunny days a year.
Grants
Many student grant departments in Europe have approved the University degree level courses and the State Recognised programmes that the Marbella Design Academy follows. Students from most European countries can therefore obtain grants to study at the academy.
Jobs
Most students have a job after the study hours. Many companies call the academy with job offers for the students. It is recommended that first year students wait searching for a job within their respective fields until their skills have been developed to a medium professional level in the second year of study.
Design Show Student Exhibition
Each year the Academy hold an Exhibition-Design Show of the student s work.
The exhibitions are a great success. The students work is judged by the press and media as well as by industry professionals. The standard of the students work is extremely high and they are often head hunted by these companies.

Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
Students coming from other design schools can transfer their credits to the Marbella Design Academy and continue their education in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year depending on their skills and choice of study.

8.500 for the entire academic year. Same fee for European and non European students.

Fashion Design: 2 years. Following the State Recognized program from the Ministry of Education. The program is updated to include many more classes in Production Technology and the latest marked demands for computer skills in: Illustrator. The program is introduced in the tuition already in the first year of study.
Graphic Design: 3 years. Following the State Recognized program from the Ministry of Education. The program is updated to include the latest marked demands for computer skills in: Photoshop CS3, Illustrator, Quark, Flash and Dreamweaver. The programs are introduced in the tuition already in the first year of study.
Web Design: 1 year. The program is a new education living up to the latest marked demands for computer skills in: Photoshop CS3, Flash, PHP, CSS and Dreamweaver/HTML.
