Overview
CRI sponsors semester and summer study programs for college students combining outdoor adventure activities and courses in the Humanities.
The goal of the Environmental Studies expedition is to provide students contact with the native people, culture and natural environments of Australia, and to examine cross-cultural meanings of the natural world.
Students on the Castle Rock Institute International Expedition follow an Environmental Humanities curriculum of four 300-level courses during their semester-- one each in Philosophy, Literature, Studio Art and Religious Studies. These courses meet regularly for discussions, field excursions, special lectures and presentations.
