Overview
CRI sponsors semester and summer study programs for college students combining outdoor adventure activities and courses in the Humanities. The goal of the expedition is to maximize student contact with native Australian people, culture and natural environments, and to examine the overall value of that contact. Students on the Castle Rock Institute Australia Expedition take four 300-level courses during their semester-- one each in Philosophy, Literature, Studio Art and Religious Studies. These courses meet regularly for discussions, field excursions, special lectures and presentations.
