The Center for Global Education's approach is both experiential and academically rigorous. Courses are offered in Spanish, Religion, History, Women's Studies, and Poltiical Science. Opportunities to engage with Central Americans from many different perspectives are provided to foster critical thinking and ground experience in the theoretical componenets of each course. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Academic credit is available. each course is worth 4 semester hours credit issued by Augsburg College, a fully-accredited four-year liberal arts college in Minneapolis, Minnesota Eligibility minimum GPA of 2.5 One course college-level Spanish or the equivalent Housing/Accommodation • Dormitory • Homestay / Host Family Program Costs 2007-08: $15,475 Costs Include:  Tuition, fees, full room and board, regional travel, medical/emergency insurance, some reading materials Financial Aid Yes. One of the Center's goals is to foster intentionally diverse environments that purposefully model communities where effective responses to issues of oppression such as racism, sexism, homophobia, economic inequality, xenophobia, and classism are effected. Towards this end, the Center offers some scholarships based on financial need and for students who belong to groups which are under-represented in study abroad.
