Overview
Greetings,
We are owners of a lodge (El Remanso) on the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica which has one of the most biodiverse forests on the planet. We are encouraging botanical studies, plant identification, canopy research, propagation of endemic and rare species, and searching for new species. We work with the University of Costa Rica (UCR) and Institute of Biodiversity (InBio) in research and education programs. Our lodge is located in premontane moist forest, and includes mature, coastal, riparian and succesional forest habitat, with creeks, waterfalls, ocean beach and trails. There are several tree platforms with aerial cables to facilitate research and observations. We are involved in canopy research and have an active tree climbing program.
