Overview
The goal of the Transylvania Field Seminar is to provide students with a firsthand experience of coexisting traditional cultures trying to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The program exposes students to the unique history, religious life, and folk art of multiethnic Transylvania through its architecture, cultural heritage, and traditional customs. Students will be able to discuss critical periods of Transylvanian history; identify major geographical regions and religions of Transylvania; and discuss major ethnic groups of Transylvania.

Program Costs
Pricing for Summer 2009 programs will begin to be available on 12/15/08 on our website.
Costs
Include: The CIEE fee for 2008 includes an optional on-site airport meet and greet, full-time leadership and support, tuition, housing and most meals, orientation, cultural activities, local excursions, pre-departure advising, and a CIEE iNext travel card which provides insurance and other travel benefits.
