Overview
Adventures in World and Mexican History program in Oaxaca, Mexico is conducted by a professor from SUNY New Paltz Foreign Language Department and the Center for International Programs at SUNY New Paltz. In Oaxaca City and the Central Valleys surrounding it, one will find an extraordinary quantity of archaeological, historical and cultural sites. The program will be based in this lovely, colonial city which has so much to offer in terms of both Mexican and World History. The city and its three radiating valleys, declared a "Cultural Heritage of Humanity" by Unesco in 1987, will serve as the base for a two week study of archaeological, colonial and contemporary Oaxacan cultural venues.
