Overview
Take courses taught in English and German at the University of Salzburg. Choose from business, economics, history, literature, music and sociology.
The AIFS program fee includes tuition, housing, meals, round trip air fare, orientation and cultural activities, 3-day London stopover, field trips to Munich, Prague and Vienna, services of a pre-departure Student Advisory Center and on-site Resident Director, access to computers and e-mail.
Students study in Salzburg for an academic year or semester. Open to college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. No previous language study required. Transcripts issued by University of Salzburg.
Students are housed in residence hall, student apartments or in Austrian household. Daily meal allowance for breakfast and one other meal.
Cultural activities include tours, wine tastings, pastry seminars, sleigh rides and visits to ice caves and castles. Community volunteer opportunities available.
Application deadlines: June 1 for year and fall semester; October 15 spring semester. Scholarships are available.
