Now is your opportunity to do just that and learn a language at the same time. International Gateway Kelowna offers farm stay placements at various guest ranches and farms throughout the sunny Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. Depending on your choice, you can learn equestrian and western skills, how to raise alpacas or farming while at the same time improving your conversational English. Farmstays can be taken in conjunction with full or part time ESL classes at International Gateway Kelowna for a total Canadian learning experience! Special Courses or Features Programs for Teenagers Internships or Work Experience Short Programs (1 Week or Less) Internship Opportunties Volunteer Program Opportunities Activities Available Horse Riding Cooking & Culinary Eligibility Horse riding skills are recommended for ranch stays but not required if students don't plan to ride. Students are required to volunteer 15 hours per week on the ranch or farm to offset the cost of their stay.
