Work on grass roots development projects with the local community. NGO Internships are based on your skills and the needs of our host communities. Help vaccinate children, teach reading, reforest depleted ecosystems, or educate small businesses. Programs are highly supported by an onsite staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the fields of study abroad and international development. Teams of ProWorld Project Coordinators work year round with our host communities assessing needs, thinking creatively, and setting long-term goals for sustainable development and volunteer projects. Experiential learning combines with weekly adventures, and productive volunteer work to form a comprehensive and unforgettable internship experience. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Internship credit from your home institution Eligibility All participants must have an adventurous spirit. Development projects are determined by the interests of participants and the needs of the local community. Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family Program Costs Program fee based on location and duration of programs. Costs Include:  Program fees support our host community economies in the forms of project materials purchases, local salaries, host family payments, and local purchases. Program fees include: full room and board, domestic transportation, 24 hour safety and medical services, and funding of development projects and internships. The program fee also includes world class cultural and adventure acvities. Financial Aid Yes. ProWorld scholarships and many private scholarships are available. We also offer fundraising support.
