Overview
This ten week program in the capitol city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, allows you to immerse yourself in study of a variety of Indian performing arts--dance, drama, and vocal music--as well as Indian martial or meditation arts. You will enroll for three credits in "People and Cultures of South Asia." This course includes a basic survival Malayalam language component; participation in weekly seminars, field excursions, and performance demonstrations; and a final written exam. In addition, you will choose to study one or two performing or martial arts.
