Overview
The ASET Foundation Award in Art and Design is a first level course for people wanting to go on to study art or design at degree level. It lasts one academic year (September to June annually) and is designed to give you a basic grounding in various aspects of art and design and give you a qualification that can be used to enter a bachelors degree course in art or design.
The Foundation Award is validated by ASET, a British-based validation agency licensed by the British government. The award is accredited on the British National Qualifications Framework at Level 3.

The award is validated in the United Kingdom (Britain) at NQF Level 3, and is a degree-course entrance qualification.
Eligibility
Applicants must be at least 17 years old at the start of the course. Some evidence of an interest in art is required, usually shown by prior qualifications in art or through the applicant's application statement.
