The Spanish Through Leadership Program is based in Central America’s oldest Spanish colonial community Granada, Nicaragua. Few places in Latin America does the Spanish language resonate with more passion and color than along the Nicaragua – Costa Rica isthmus. Connected by history, culture, volcanoes, rainforests and two oceans; this dynamic region provides endless opportunities to celebrate Spanish in the warm embrace of Central America’s remarkable people and vibrant pueblos. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Eligibility High school age students only Housing/Accommodation • Homestay / Host Family High school students all live within walking distance of each other and program director. Program Costs $2,850.00 Costs Include:  Chaperoned roundtrip airfare from most U.S. cities, overseas medical insurance, program doctor, on-site program director, bilingual staff, all land transportation and airport transfers, 24 hr. communication, high school appropriate supervision and support, home-stays include private room, all meals, purified water, and laundry, program includes all Spanish sessions and tutoring, community youth service, Latin dance and music, cultural events and all excursions (rainforest, volcanoes, indigeous arts villages, canopy tour, coffee farm, cloudforest, tropical islands, blue lagoon, and weekend Pacific beach retreat.
