A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in more than 30 programs throughout the world. Founded in 1963, the IES Freiburg program offers students with previous German language experience the opportunity to integrate themselves fully into German university student life and improve their German language skills in the charming yet cosmopolitan city of Freiburg. IES Freiburg offers a wide selection of IES classes taught in German by distinguished native faculty at the IES Freiburg Center, as well as access to courses at the renowned Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, located just minutes from the IES Center. As fully-matriculated students of Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, but with the added support of the dedicated, experienced, and multinational IES staff, IES Freiburg students enjoy the unique academic challenges and opportunities that only a city with Freiburg’s excellent resources can provide.
