Overview
Since 1950, IES has been building quality study abroad programs and introducing U.S. students to new places, studies, and ways of thinking. A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in almost 30 programs throughout the world.
IES Dublin in association with the Gaiety School of Acting (GSA), Ireland's best-known acting school, provides conservatory-like professional training in a set curriculum taught by faculty from GSA. Courses include: Voice for the Stage, Improvisation, Acting, and Movement for the Stage. Field study comprises weekly viewing of performances in theaters in Dublin. An optional one-credit seminar course, Performance Analysis, focuses discussion on dramaturgical practices of these performances.
