Overview
The KEI Visual and Performing Arts Program at the University of Tasmania allows students to concentrate their studies in fine arts, performing arts, printmaking, furniture and interior design, theater, music, computer graphics, and art history. Students enroll in 4 courses (worth 4 credits each) each semester; 3 of the "VPA" core courses are required. Students receive 16 credits per semester.

Professional visits, local excursions in Tasmania, and a 10-day excursion to Sydney and Melbourne are included in the program, and internships are available and highly recommended. The University of Tasmania (UTAS) is one of Australia's oldest and most respected universities, and is particularly well known for science and technology. UTAS is located in Hobart -- the beautiful, safe, and peaceful capital of Tasmania, Australia's island state.

Academic credit is available. 

Eligibility
2.5 minimum GPA, 2 letters of reference, a telephone interview with a KEI program manager, and a personal statement.

Program Costs
$9,750 per semester, $19,150 for the academic year.

Costs Include:  Tuition, professional visits, housing, cultural activities, field trips within Tasmania, 10-day excursion to Sydney and Melbourne, on-site assistance, insurance, mobile phone, airport welcome and transfer.
