Overview
We offer Professional Chef's Training in 2 independent, intensive 15-week program: Professional Culinary, Advanced Pastry/Bread. Also offer a 12 week Practicum program as well as a 1 year diploma that includes the above 3 programs.
Progressive attitude and facilities designed by our passionate Chef Owners/Instructors. All-in-one kitchen concept & European designed island cooking configuration means students never face a wall.
Emphasis is placed on developing the "hands on" skills the students need in order to be succesful in this demanding profession. Curriculum includes modern Catering components; daily chef demonstrations; chef's table; knife cuts; sauces & advanced cooking techniques; service; food costing and much more (visit our website for course outlines).
Students cook in groups of 2, change weekly. Fully accredited Chef Instructors with an average of 20 years each of broad culinary experience. Members of the Canadian Culinary Federation. The Academy is accredited with PCTIA.
Northwest Culinary Academy also offer amateur classes, Kids/Teens cooking classes.
Eligibility
Goals & Aspirations Essay, high school diploma,
good written and spoken English, negative Hepatitis A test, negative TB test, good health status, letter of reference, interview.

Program Costs
Culinary, 15 weeks - $6950 Domestic Students; $7,950 International Students. Pastry/Bread, 15 weeks - $6950 Domestic Students; $7,950 International Students. One Year Culinary and Pastry/Bread with Practicum - $12,900 Domestic Students; $14, 900 International Students. Plus cost of uniform, texts, toolkit. All prices quoted in CANADIAN dollars and payable in CANADIAN or U.S. dollars.

Tuition payable in 4 installments..
Scholarships occasionally offered by outside organizations (i.e. BC Chef's Association, Les Dames D'Escoffier). Consult those organizations for details.

Deadlines
International students should apply early to allow for processing of Study Permits/Visas.
