The use of the direct conversational method as well as small class size (minimum of 2 and maximum of 6) allows students to receive the personal attention that they need. The Spanish language and culture program is made up of conversation, grammar, vocabulary and brief lectures on Chile and its culture. Each class hour is 45 minutes. There is never any translation in the classroom and this forces you to think in Spanish. You will be surprised at how easily you will learn. Pais Nativo periodically organizes weekend excursions which might include ski trips, visits to the coast and to some of Chile's beautiful national parks. These activities are subject to minimum sign-up and are at additional cost. For those students who enjoy more independent travel experiences, Chile has a relatively easy to use transportation system that fits any budget, and Santiago is only hours away from the majestic Andes mountains, fantastic beaches, and wonderful small towns waiting to be visited by the adventurous student.
