Overview
The program is a biennial nine day residential School held at the Eastern Institute of Technology Campus in Hawkes Bay, NZ. The aim of the School is to foster creative and professional development of singers from all spheres of life, in all fields of vocal music and at all levels of performance. There are international and nationally recognised Tutors and Repetiteurs and the School offers a wide range of singing styles. The NZ National Singing School Trust realises that earning the title 'singer' in the 21st century is no easy task and it is the committment of the Trust to ensure that students leave each School proficient in vocal technique and in performance skills that will help them in their future careers.
Eligibility
Prerequisites are:-
Reasonable music literacy
Previous Voice instruction
Submission of a video audition tape
Students accepted for Advanced Class require three years of more at a teriary institution and/or diploma. Students accepted for Mainstream 1 require more than 3 years tuition. Student accepted for Mainstream 2 are those with less than 3 years tuition. Acceptance into the School in all levels is at the sole discretion of the Director
Financial Aid
Yes.
These are still to be finalised but will be on similar lines to previous years. Most will cover the full or partial cost of fees.
Dates
3rd to the 12th January 2005 (inclusive)
Classes commence at 8.30am on 4th January 2005 and conclude after the Final Concert on the evening of the 12th January 2005
Deadlines
Closing date for applications is 15th September 2004 together with a non refundable deposit of $90. A late penalty will be made of $50 for remainder of fees not paid by the 31st October 2004
