Overview
In a competitive world, practical experience is an invaluable addition to classroom learning. The International Internship Program sponsored by Richmond, The American International University in London, provides vital insights into a career field, experience in the global workplacem practical exposure to demands of specific jobs and development of professional and personal skills.
Richmond has specifically designed the International Internship Program to combine an academic program and individual attention with a unique opportunity to spend 11 weeks working in London-based organizations.
Internships are offerred in the following areas:
- Art History
- Art, Design and Media
- Communications
- Computer Science
- Economics
- Finance
- History
- International Business
- International Relations
- Marketing
- Political Science
- Theater
Students may also choose to take one or two three-credit evening courses in addition to their Internship Program.
Open to college juniors and seniors. The AIFS program fee includes tuition and housing in studio apartments, outbound flight, cultural activities, services of a pre-departure Student Advisory Center and an on-site Director.
Applications must be postmarked by June 1 for fall semester; October 15 for spring semester.
Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.
Transcripts are issued by Richmond, The American International University in London, a U.S.-accredited university.
Eligibility
Open to college juniors and seniors. 2.5 minimum GPA required.
Housing/Accommodation

Apartment / Flat
Students live in shared studio apartments in the exclusive residential area of Kensington. Apartments have well equipped kitchens students can use to prepare their own meals.

AIFS awards over $250,000 in scholarships every year. Full and partial scholarships are available.
