Overview
Scuola Insieme is a unique, immersion Italian language school, offering courses each summer in Italian language and culture, in the historic seaside city of Grado, Italy, near Venice. Our ideal location, small language classes, limited to only six students, unique teaching method, and highly skilled teachers are what make our program the best of its kind.

Academic Credit
Academic credit is available.  Six-week language class is the equivalent of one full year of university-level Italian (12-weeks is 2 yrs)

Eligibility
Minimum age is generally 18, though some exceptions are made for advanced and mature high school students. Approximately half the students are university undergraduate and graduate students with the rest made up of adults of all ages. A select number of advanced high school students participate each year. Separate classes for children are also available.

Housing/Accommodation
Homestay / Host Family
Apartment / Flat

Your options for accommodation vary greatly, from a simple room in a local home, to a room at a Bed & Breakfast, to a room in any category of hotel. Private apartments are also available. All of the accommodations are within walking distance of the school, the historic town center, the Old Port, the pedestrian shopping area, and the Mediterranean Sea and beaches. The school's housing secretary or director would be happy to communicate to you the various possibilities for your accommodation, advise you according to your taste and budget, send you hotel brochures, and make your reservations. The school has negotiated special prices for our students in most of the hotels and bed and breakfasts, as well as at many local restaurants. All of your housing options are quite reasonable for a vacation in a historic, Mediterranean seaside town. We tend to place students either in a room in a house (very economical) or in small, family-run Bed and Breakfasts or hotels. Many Bed & Breakfasts and hotels have beautiful views, either of the Mediterranean Sea or of the Old Town or port. Naturally, the most desirable and the least expensive accommodations fill up first so you are advised to reserve early.
