Here,a blend of cultures and traditions are packed into a compact, yet geographically rich country. This compactness allows travelers to experience a seemingly impossible diversity of culture and ecosystems within a small area. Ecuador boasts ownership of one of the most famous ecological wonders on the planet, the Galapagos Islands. This archipelago, about 650 miles off the coast, is home to some of the world’s most exotic flora and fauna including: giant tortoises (for which the islands are named), rare marine iguanas, sea lions, and over 85 species of birds. Back on the mainland, Ecuador offers the adventurer a range of wild terrain to explore, including more than a dozen peaks over 16,000 feet! The diverse ethnic makeup of indigenous, European, and African ancestery also make Ecuador a land of sharp cultural contrasts. Unlike other countries, modernization has fortunately not erased Ecuador's cultural charm. With so much diversity of terrain and culture, Ecuador is an exceptional choice for a Spanish immersion program. Your time here will create memories that last a lifetime. We offer Spanish language schools in two great locations in Ecuador, both with first class facilities, excellent teachers, many varied and fun activities and excursions, and a warm and friendly atmosphere in which to learn Spanish. If you find it too difficult to choose between programs you can always combine locations in one course. Academic Credit Academic credit is available.  Many colleges accept our courses for credit, but credit can also be received through our affiliate NMSU. Eligibility The minimum age is 15 unless accompanied by adult.
