It is a new cultural and teaching centre that aims to promote increased awareness of the citizens, artwork, traditions, history and typical produce of the Montefeltro area, both in Italy and abroad. Courses are based on closely linked practical and theory lessons and are taught by local native speaking Italians. The Study Centre also organises courses in cooking and ceramics, offers nature walks, art excursions and visits to typical local produce companies. The Study Centre avails also to the services of Osteria La Gatta restaurant and the Workshop and School of Ceramic Monte Illuminato. Frontino, where the Study Centre is located, close to the historic Renaissance town of Urbino, in the Marche , is a tranquil medieval hill village with 400 inhabitants, situated in the Natural Park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello. Very close to Tuscany, minutes away from the ski lifts on Monte Carpegna, and only an hour journey by car to the beaches on the Adriatic Coast, it is an ideal place to combine a course in Italian together with walks in the natural and unspoilt countryside, together with highly instructive cultural excursions in one of the most beautiful areas of Italy.
