Overview
Sinoculture provides opportunities to learn Mandarin Chinese at a university in Yantai, Shandong Province, China. This will give you a chance to be fully immersed in the Chinese culture and while doing so gain an in-depth experience of the country that I am sure will stay with you the rest of your life.
You can take either a short term Chinese language course (from four weeks to six months) or commit for a long term course for a year or more. The short term course may begin at any time of the year, but requires a minimum of ten people to commence on any given date.
The long term course starts at the beginning of each semester. The spring Semester runs from late February to early July, and the autumn Semester runs from late August to end of January.
Yantai, lying at the eastern tip of Shandong Peninsula, is a beautiful coastal region. Bordered by the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea, she faces South Korea and Japan across the water. Yantai is important as an agricultural, industrial, commercial, and scientific centre, and is also a popular tourist destination with spectacular scenery.
The region has opened up to western business successfully, but has retained a distinctly Chinese essence. Yantai has a mild and pleasant climate, and is well known for producing quality silk, fine seafood, wine and apples.

All international students will live in the dormitory building on campus. You can choose to stay alone or share the room with another international student. The size of each room is about 20 square meters, with two beds, TV, bathroom, fan, phone, chair, table, book shelves and cupboard.
Program Costs
The course costs for Option One (one semester/five months) are as follows:
* Tuition: US $1350.00 per semester
* Room Rate: from US $24.50 per week;
* Meals: US $50.00 per month;
* Books and Tapes: US $37.00 per year;
* Visa: from US $32.00 per year;
The course costs for Option Two (one year or more) are as follows:
* Tuition: US $2100.00 per academic year;
