Overview
The Academia de Español Quito (AEQ) also known as Centro de Capacitación de Servicios de Español Quito, has specialized in teaching Spanish as a second language to foreign students since 1982. Our courses are recognized as a Bildungsurlaub program in both Hamburg and Hannover, Germany and we have a partnership through the study aboad program at Nicholls State University in the U.S.
The school is located in the commercial core of modern Quito easily accessable by public transportation and close to banks, restaurants, internet cafes, shopping and many tourist attractions.
AEQ has established very high standards for its instruction and operation. It seeks to do everything it can to provide students with an opportunity for “spectacular expansion” of their speaking, writing, and reading abilities. As part of that rapid growth in understanding Spanish, students will also gain a greater understanding of the culture and people of Latin America.
We offer a variety of programs to choose from. Courses are available all year round. You may start any day of the week, from Monday to Friday. To make your lessons even more enjoyable, you have the option to enroll in more than one program (a combination) for the entire period, on a weekly basis. The length of the course depends on your time availability, budget, academic needs, etc.
All levels are taught, from beginner to superior.
In all classes you will have grammar, pronunciation and discussion, reading and writing, listening and comprehension, specialized professional vocabulary as well as cultural awareness. For specialized Spanish, we teach specific subjects such as Latin American literature, business, medical or law vocabulary.
Acommodations in local host families are available. This allows you to practise and improve your knowledge of the language, to develop new and long-lasting relationships and to experience first hand our culture. The families connected to the school are carefully selected and are located in a safe area of modern Quito.
We offer transfer service from the airport to the place of your choice without any extra charge.

The student is provided with a private bedroom, two daily meals and laundry service. If the student is vegetarian, has preferences for certain kind of food, or has to follow a special diet, the family will be pleased to provide those foods according to our traditional Ecuadorian hospitality.
For the Anaconda and Pacific programs, accommodation and all meals are included

Costs

Dates
Our Intensiva, Activa, Optativa and Pacific programs are all one-on-one individual instruction. In the Anaconda program, classes are held in small groups.
We also offer group lessons for those who are interested in learning Spanish with friends. Each group should not be larger than five students and should be arranged by the students themselves before coming to the school. We tailor special packages according to the group schedule, budget and cultural purposes. Group leaders are welcomed free of charge over 10 students.
Courses should be booked at least two weeks before the starting date.
